| The Successful Tombstone Town Meeting the C of C Boycotted | |
For two amazingly upbeat hours at the Crystal Palace in Tombstone, townspeople took to the stage for interviews with Dan Abrams on Cochise Talk's hit local show DOIN' LUNCH to talk about their views on the town. One consensus, the bad publicity has to stop. On Wednesday, September 30, curious about what might happen, locals packed the world famous saloon by 11 o'clock to hear warm up music from guitar virtuoso Michael Grande and Chicago style blues from local favorite Cat Daddy. Despite declined invitations to the embattled mayor, and reps from the C of C including president Don Taylor who discouraged others from participating, and long-time saloon owner Steve Goldstein, local media attracted well over 100 persons to the site and talk was constructive and encouraging. Listen for yourself and see what this town is capable of. There was unity on location, even between Kim Herrig and Mike Carrafa, rival business owners.
